Volumes moved with the tide of Sydney’s lockouts to keep Sydney music good. James Spink is the man behind it.

Local Sydney music lover James Spink wanted to make a music festival that was for everybody. A mix of genres, and a celebration of art, sound and culture in the heart of the city. And so Volumes was born. An event like no other Spink has managed to capture the essence of Sydney’s nightlife, creative, fun and with a hint of cheek.

If you attend a Volumes event you will be privy to some of the best electronic music and sonic experiences whilst also being immersed in light shows, video installations and an atmosphere of positivity and possibility.

The Volumes vision is to get artists collaborating and communicating, working together to create new ways of enjoying the entertainment Sydney has to offer, whilst also making it clear that lockouts or not, this is a city which will not back down. James has used his understanding of the music industry after working alongside the team at Oxford Art Factory and a close knit group of like minded people to come up with one of Sydney’s most exciting innovations.
